Mark Eitzman
has responsibility for the growth of the Rockwell Automation safety and
cybersecurity portfolio of solutions and services. In his combined 30-plus-year career at Rockwell
Automation and an Allen-Bradley distributor, Mark has held a variety of
positions with increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, product management
and market development. Prior to his current position, Mark was the Global
Business Development Manager for Safety with Rockwell Automation. He was
responsible for the development of the global market demand for safety and
Rockwell Automation’s global capabilities to promote and deliver safety
solutions.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Management from Malone College in Canton, Ohio, a
Certificate of Industrial Distribution Management from Texas A&M University and
is a certified TUV Rheinland Functional Safety Technician.
Abstract;
Cybersecurity of ICS in Critical Infrastructure
Industrial control systems (ICS) in manufacturing
and critical infrastructure have increasingly become the target of cyber
criminals and other nefarious actors. We will discuss the reasons for this
trend, the challenges faced by the IT and OT professionals responsible for
implementing a digital convergence, what a hardened OT system looks like and the
steps to attain a more secure OT system (ICS).
